The White House will hold its first press briefing in over a year with newly appointed press secretary Kayleigh McEnany. The previous press secretary, Stephanie Grisham did not hold an on-camera briefing while she held the position. McEnany was ushered in shortly after Mark Meadows took over as White House Chief of Staff.

Recently, President Trump had been holding daily press briefings with his coronavirus task force specific to the COVID-19 pandemic response. The White House had signaled that they plan to cut back on POTUS appearing at every briefing.
