Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan discuss border issues in Moscow



The meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Mukhriddin with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Chingiz Aidarbekov was hold in Moscow, the Tajik Foreign Ministry reported on September 10.

The ministers of the two countries also discussed issues related to the delimitation and demarcation of the joint state border.

Emphasising the good-neighbourly nature of bilateral relations, the ministers noted the need to coordinate efforts to prevent provocations and strengthen cross-border cooperation.

Earlier, the parties were forced to postpone the negotiations of the working groups of the government delegations of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan in connection with the spread of the coronavirus.

In addition, the ministers considered a full range of important issues, exchanged views on the further expansion of Tajik-Kyrgyz relations.
