Kazakhstan’s Tokayev promises to reduce inflation to 4% within 3 years

NUR-SULTAN, Kazakhstan – Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev presented the election program of the ruling party in the republic – Nur Otan for the next five years. Speaking at an extraordinary congress of the party, he promised that the country’s authorities will continue to provide social support to the population.

“As a result, the non-oil budget deficit by 2025, according to the government’s calculations, will be 6%, and the overall deficit will be no more than 3%. Within three years, inflation will be reduced to 4%, possibly even below this figure. Active industrialisation will lead to an increase in production volumes in the manufacturing industry by 1.5 times,” Tokayev said at the extraordinary congress Nur Otan on November 25.

According to him, the government must prioritise IT and tourism. This will create about 300,000 new jobs.

“Investments in the field of data processing and storage will increase sixfold, we will also actively promote Kazakhstani exports. Our task is to double the volume of non-primary exports – up to $ 40 billion a year,” the head of the country added.
